I was just standing over the stove boiling some quick oats (which weren’t so quick, it took me 20 mins to boil them down, and the oats still didn’t “open”) when I saw the girls come out of their rooms having a discussion about how late they were up last night.
I can still hear Marie saying “24 hours, baby!”
Their last exam is tomorrow morning, and after that they have 24 hours to vacate residence. Good for them. I wish I could leave early. In previous terms it was always me who’d have an exam schedule that ended first. Then I’d leave and hear that the others went out to a bar or pub on their last day.
This time, I’m stuck here the latest, while the others leave early. Certainly there won’t be any pubs in my future.
I know I’ve been complaining about how my schedule has been harsh. It is harsh. The past three exams have left me…I won’t say “utterly depressed” because that’s a tad extreme…how about: “feeling quite dumb”. Well, let me tell you how the girls’ schedule goes. Friday they had two exams, Tuesday they had another two, and their last is tomorrow. In Steve’s schedule, he has two this coming Friday, and another on Saturday.
Oy. Just thinking about it makes me feel nauseous.
We’re all having some hardships this time around. It all hasn’t been a walk in the park. Although, I’d have to say that everyone else seems much much more hard working than I am. In truth, as I’ve mentioned previously, I take humungous breaks in between study sessions. I’m tremendously lazy, and perhaps it’s showing on the exams. Everyone’s busy, so it’s been rather lonely around here. But you know, those few moments in between studying where I’ve had a chance to just chat (especially with the girls, whom I appreciate a great deal) have been very much soothing.
Meh. By Tuesday it’ll all be over. Soon, it’ll be my turn to yell out “24 hours, baby!” Mind you, it’ll be to an empty apartment. Then I get to go home and actually have some proper “me” time. I’ll be going camping during this me time.
Oh? “Camping?” you ask. More on that later.
