Time out

I’m fine.

Yesterday I had gone to the doctor for various reasons. He told me to take today off and stay indoors.

I’m fine.

IncognitoSo, today I slept in. I haven’t done that in such a long time. It felt immensely good. Mind you, my definition of “sleeping in” has been warped. My Saturdays have been occupied with trips to Waterloo. Weekdays are regularly busy with work. Sundays require I get up early to eat and get ready for church. Today, I got up at about 9:30. I remember this because I managed to get up early enough to watch The Ellen Degeneres Show. I think she’s hilarious.

I’m fine.

The doctor required that I stay out of direct sunlight for 24 hours since my meeting with him. So that’s what I did. If I had to go outside for whatever reason, I put on a hat and sunglasses and tried to keep a low profile.

Well, that’s one good reason to wear a baseball cap. I used to wear them all the time. Now, I rarely do. I’m must’ve been sick of putting up with hat hair (or something). Now I’m just awkward wearing those things on my head.

But anyway.

I’m absolutely relieved that I had some time to myself. Although, I can’t help but feel that today was wasted. I mean I think today would’ve been a perfect day to get myself to the mall or to Best Buy…or someplace that I could purchase stuff, you know?

Then again, today the weather was quite unbearable. The high was 31 degrees Celsius. With the humidity it felt like 40. My house remained cool for the most part. The air conditioning was off, but it still had enough cool air from the night before to keep things sane for the early day. By about 3 pm though, I was sweating a great deal. I hate summer, man. Give me fall and winter anyday. Today just wasn’t a good day to travel or take a vehicle out.

Hmm…there’s just no winning with me, eh?

Well, whatever. I’m heading back into my work hell tomorrow. I’m sure I’ll get to hear all of the great stories about people’s golf skills (or lack thereof). I’m excited. I’m so fucking excited.
