Like a Mack Truck

October has rolled around, and I’m finding that the days are fetting a lot colder. Just this past Monday, I checked out the weather report before heading for class and was in shock to find the temperature at 10°C. That was only 2 degrees off the max for that day–not that I’m complaining. I love the cooler weather. I love the cool breeze blowing against my skin. I like the fact that I’m not sweating buckets.

Of course, October also brings a lot of unwanted things. Midterms are coming at the end of the month. They sort of barrel towards you like a speeding Mack truck. You don’t really notice them off on the horizon, and then by the time you get a better glimpse of them, it may be too late if you already haven’t gotten out of the way. I’m sort of prepared (I guess). I need to study more over the next little while.

Besides midterms are several labs and projects with due dates and deadlines that seem to appear in fast succession. Why the hell does it all have to clump together? Ah, and there’s the Thanksgiving weekend this weekend. Holy crap, man. That’s a few days where I’m not going to be able to study at all.

Ah, so in the end, life is really back to normal. Everything is right in the world again. I’m stressed; I’m tired. There’s no other way it was meant to be.
