Continuation

I have a few things to say…some good, some bad…so I’m just going to split it up into two parts. Part two will probably come tomorrow.

So, I ended my huge birthday entry on Sunday’s event, right? Well, things continued on for two more days after that. Jenelle took me out on the Monday, while Alex took me out on the Tuesday. That’s really awesome. I mean, there are people who care enough to still treat me out even though my birthday was already a few days past. What’s interesting about these two encounters is the contrast in how people act and do their thing.

On Monday, Jenelle messaged me on MSN as I was getting some work done in the lab. She had read that long-ass journal entry and wanted to take me out. I met her a little bit later and we decided to go to William’s Coffee Pub for a milkshake. We were eyeing the cakes for a while when she had the on-the-spot idea of buying a Deep ‘n Delicious cake. I mean, why pay an extraordinary amount for a slice of cake when you can have a whole cake for cheaper? At least, that was her reasoning. So, she took me on a whirlwind romp through the convenience store. I say whirlwind, because we were really going around grabbing random things and imagining what I could do with it. Various other items picked up included a canned ham, a porn mag, and a big salami stick. In the end, she bought me a bag of Reese’s Pieces and that cake.

We headed back to William’s for that milkshake. I was reluctant to bring out the cake because I was sure that the staff at Williams would complain about it, but Jenelle convinced me otherwise. Well, as soon as we started eating, sure enough, a staff member came by and told us we couldn’t eat it there. Go figure. The night continued in good conversation and that was that.

On Tuesday, I met Alex for dinner. We were about to head to the Mongolian Grill for dinner, but by the time we got there they said they were going to close the grill. How rotten. So, we decided to head for McGinnins Front Row. Since it’s a bar and grill we didn’t expect it to close. I’m sure Alex had full intent on getting drunk. When we got there, we found out that a basketball game was playing on TV. He was ecstatic. The fact that it was half-price appetizers day made him even happier. We ordered rings and garlic bread to start off. I ordered a pitcher of beer. The game was in the last quarter so it was quickly over. We found out though that the Raptors were playing that night. Alex was feeling great. We ordered food and enjoyed various conversation…mostly spiked with me saying “you’re an idiot”. I said that, but I meant well. Much of the time he was trying ton convince me to get more pitchers. We ended up splitting two pitchers, which is pretty decent. That was that.

Unfortunately, that’s where the birthday celebrations end. In any case, it really was fun while it lasted. I guess I’m more popular than I thought.
