I just spent an all nighter cramming for an exam I feel horribly unprepared for.
The course notes were horrible. The textbook was nasty. It’s all not helping my confidence.
How bad were the materials? Let me quote a few things from the text.
“The transaction manager manages the excution…”
“The transaction coordinator coordinates the execution…”
“Consistency. Execution of a transaction in isolation…preserves consistency of the database”
Who writes this tripe? Seriously. Don’t use the word you’re defining in the definition.
Ugh. Lack of sleep is just making me cranky, I guess.

Sounds like your databases course (I’m assuming it was) turned out just as bad as ours was…
Hope it turned out ok.
