Damn, that was a lot of snow over this weekend. I had plans to meet with Sharon on Saturday but had to cancel because of the nasty weather. As much as I feel like this winter is no worse than any previous ones, I acknowledge that I’m dead wrong–and probably have a selectively bad memory. Well, it’s March and spring is less than two weeks away. It’ll all be done and over with soon enough. With that in mind, and the fact that the city is getting really close to beating the 207.4 cm record set back in 1938-1939, I say: Bring it on!
(but only a little bit…just enough, really…)
If we’re all already suffering due to this horrible weather, then hey, let’s get something out of it: let the old record be shattered. Snow is manageable. Commuting isn’t horrible as long as a lot of common-sense and patience is used. I’m at peace with just labelling the whole experience with the “it’s a fact of life living here” label. So alright, if we can at least get a new record out of it, then hey we’ve suddenly got a good story to tell.
