As a result of getting only four hours of sleep every day for the past few days:
I was zonked out at work (close to leaving a puddle of drool at my desk).
I was nodding off on the streetcar (almost didn’t get off at the station).
I was drifting in and out of consciousness on the subway (I was doing the whole bobbing head thing).
I was acting zombie like at the running store (I could barely make coherent sentences).
God, I need sleep.

I’ve fallen asleep on the TTC before, it’s never pretty. I actually started driving to work when I’m on an overnight so that I don’t have to take the TTC home afterwards, it lulls me to sleep.

Ha! I run to keep my insomnia at bay! Weird, no?

@Erin: I agree that falling asleep on the TTC isn’t pretty. Best I can say is that at least the length of the ride to my stop allows me to get a good sized power-nap. Parking and driving sounds great, but I don’t want to pay for parking downtown.
@Kat: I wouldn’t say that it’s weird. I’m sure that running releases certain chemicals that keep the body from feeling too sleepy. There’s got to be some sort of science involved.
