Pins in a voodoo doll

I have a couple of pains that have been lingering around since the beginning of the week. I seriously wish they’d just go away and let me get on with life, you know? The first thing is a remnant from a mosquito bite from earlier in the week. Remember how I was pretty much ravaged by mosquitoes last Sunday? Most of the bites have now faded. In fact, I didn’t even bother with the Benadryl or Aerius today. That’s all great, except that there’s this clump of bites on my right shoulder. It’s all still red and swollen, and just plain itchy. I’m really unsure as to why that particular one hasn’t faded. It’s not like I’ve been scratching it much more than the other bites. Or maybe I have…I can’t tell. I’m still using a lot of willpower to not scratch the area. Yes, it’s getting easier to control the urge, but life would be better once it returns to normal. Question is: when. I’ve been slapping on a good amount of Benadryl cream or generic Lanacane-type stuff the area but I fear that it’s not helping at all.

Edit: I think I’m going to take some drugs before bed…it’s getting bad again.

It just so happens that my other issue also happens to be located on my right shoulder. I really don’t know what I did about a week ago, but one day I just woke up with an incredible amount of muscle pain in my shoulder and the right side of my neck. Stretching really hasn’t done much to loosen the area. All I know is that for the past few days getting to sleep has been a tough proposition. Lying flat on my back wasn’t bad, but the moment I rolled over I’d get these sudden jolts of pain. I’m unable to go without a pillow because that hurts. I can’t double up because that puts strain on the area. It’s very much a case where I feel damned no matter what I do. I’m putting Rub A535 on the area, but I think that’s conflicting with all of the anti-itch cream I’m also placing on the area.

What the hell? In jest, I think that someone has it out for me. There must be someone out there with a voodoo doll that’s its right shoulder into some flames, and following that by jamming needles into the area. No fun. I’m going to give it all a few more days. If it doesn’t improve, I’m going to have to see a couple of specialists or something. Crazy.
