Baking arts?

I was just chatting with a friend earlier tonight about his experiences taking baking courses at George Brown. So far he seems to be enjoying the classes. Frankly, I’m a little bit jealous. If money and time weren’t issues, that would be something I’d be interested in pursuing. It’s not uncommon for me to post pictures of stuff that I’ve baked on this blog. I believe that I have some aptitude for it. As it is though, I don’t see how I can fit it in. Between my day job, running, and improv I just think I’m spread a bit thin. I’m on several paths, and would I really be be doing myself any favours by being only somewhat all right on all of them? Compare that to being really excellent in just a few areas.

Hmm. Well, I suppose it can’t hurt to take a single course on a weekend. I’m actually interested in taking the beginning Baking Arts course to get my feet wet. I mean baking at home is different from doing it pro, no?

God, who knows where life will lead?
