After a very long wait, it’s now finally time for the next round of performance evals to happen. We’ve all been given a document to fill out that basically asks several questions regarding goals that have and haven’t been met, achievements, and future intentions. Given my generally humble leanings, talking about achievements has been kind of difficult. However, as several of my friends have remind me, this is especially the time when I should be waving my flag high.
God knows that I’ve worked my ass off for my team. I’m sure it’s been recognized by the people that have the ability to do something about it. I just need to give those people a gentle (or perhaps not so gentle) reminder, I guess. Frankly, I expect all of my colleagues to do the same.
I believe I can make a convincing case for myself. I will lay it all out if that’s what it takes. If all is fair, the outcome will be good. If not, I’m going to raise a lot of hell. Guaranteed.
