OK, so that was incredibly entirely weird. I was in the bathroom when I heard someone ringing the doorbell. I figured that it was just a solicitor so I paid no mind. Besides, I was midway through a bowel movement so I wasn’t about to rush myself. Moments later thought the doorbell sounded frantically. So, on top of my solicitor assessment I figured that it was some young kid that’s a bit ADD and like ringing doorbells. Whatever. The frantic ringing continued so I eventually thought that this might be some sort of emergency. Maybe someone in my family lost their keys and the garage door opener stopped working, I don’t know. If it was someone I knew, I knew that they’d have the sense to call first before coming over.
Anyway, I eventually stopped hearing the doorbell, so I finished my business in peace. When I left the bathroom, I heard that the ringing was replaced with frantic knocking. I thought, whatever it is, it must be really bad. So I went downstairs and opened the door. Who did I find? I don’t know–the face wasn’t familiar. It was a middle aged south Asian woman who kind of sounded hard of hearing. It’s possible that she didn’t know how to communicate in English, but the story seems more interesting with a deaf Indian woman. Anyway, in her hand was a hand drawn map of someplace that she had to be. From her grunts I gathered that she was lost. So after analyzing the map I pointed her in the correct direction. She walked away in the strong winds.
So yeah, this event dumbfounds me. Of all the houses, why would she pick this one? Why would she be so frantic in ringing the doorbell of a random house? Why was she panicking at all? Straaaange.
